This project focuses on an urban design analysis of transit-supportive
development and construction of a subarea transportation model that can
capture data at a finer scale than that analyzed in typical transportation
models. To test the model across a range of development patterns, the
study examines the relationship between urban design and travel behavior
in four types of activity areas, at two scales. The project also includes
a discussion of findings from a land-use and transportation study that
used the subarea model to analyze two growth scenariosone of which
was based on transit-supportive principlesfor the North Metro I-35W
Corridor Coalition.
